Brie's page

Well the girl has done us proud again gaining her fourth CC at Birmingham Dobe. Brie took her first ticket at Birmingham last year her second at SKC where she was also BOB and in the last six for the group and her crown at Southern Counties. The cheers were wonderful for Chris and our girl and we are very proud. To own with our dear friends  only two dobermans and to find we have a Champion in one and the top Dobe puppy UK 2010 with little Escada is more than we ever hoped for. Thank you to Ian and Toni and Daniel for breeding our Brie and to Clive and Nancy for breeding Escada and allowing us to be part of her adventure along with Pauline and Martin. What a great thing friendship is.

Brie was born in December, 2005 and is our fifth dobermann and is owned in partnership with Di and myself. She is extremely typical of the Neartic dobermann kennel as regards her temperament which is absolutely second to none.

Angel, one of Di's GSDs took on the role of surrogate mum when Brie was about three months old. The pair of them have never looked back and are always ready for a ruff n tumble. Brie has fitted in so very, very well with all of the other Arnscrofts and it's a test of their temperament too that they are so willing to accept a new kid on the block. When Alan and I go on holiday, Brie packs her case and heads off to the Arnscrofts for her break. She misses us for approximately 20 minutes then becomes totally absorbed in her country holiday.

As for showing, Brie took to it like a duck to water and 'qualified' at her very first show, Border Union in 2006 under a breed specialist. Brie then went on to win best puppy bitch at two breed championship shows and was regularly well-placed in her puppy career. She continued her winning ways into Junior, attaining her junior warrant. She is also the first Neartic dobermann to qualify for the Kennel Club award of Show Certificate of Merit - another accolade of which we are all very proud, including Ian, Toni and Daniel (her breeders).

She has been very rarely unplaced in her show career to date, but showing aside, we could not have got a better girl to share our lives with. She has also done much to dispel the fears that local young children have had of 'big' dogs. She is exercised near to a local school and its just magic to hear the kids shouting her name for her to come to them for a pat and a lick for them from Brie.
